Welcome! I know seeking a therapist can be overwhelming and I’m glad you’re here. Healing is a vulnerable, relational process, and it is an honour to be a part of it. As we develop trust, we can safely explore the depths of your experiences, core beliefs, and relational patterns. As we process and make sense of the origins of these patterns, we also develop new lenses and skills to support you to live in the present with greater ease and a strong sense of self.
I work collaboratively with you, moving between mindfulness-based, narrative, body-oriented, emotion-focused, trauma-focused, and cognitive therapies, to meet your needs.
I am a Registered Social Worker with counselling experience in hospital and community settings. I work with youth and adults with mood-, personality-, substance use, and eating disorders who have experienced complex trauma, and who struggle with low self-esteem, attachment wounds, unprocessed grief and loss, interpersonal conflict and behavioural concerns.
My approach is client-centred, strength-based, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed, moving beyond the personal and recognizing that the political and social have an undeniable impact on our emotional and psychological development. With over 22 years of working in the field of mental health, addictions services and trauma I come to you with an array of therapeutic approaches to help facilitate your healing experience such as; psychodynamic, mindfulness, parts language, EMDR, narrative, body-oriented therapies, and trauma focused therapies. My goal is to guide you so that you can live your life with greater sense of care, attunement, confidence, curiosity, understanding, and with both internal and external resources that can lead your ongoing care and development long after engaging in therapy!
